Wanda holds groundbreaking ceremony for new Wanda Mall in Shanghai

The Wanda Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for its first Wanda Mall in China's first-tier city – Shanghai Qingpu Wanda Mall – on April 17.

The moment was witnessed by Wanda executives, Qingpu District government officials, local media, etc.

Qingpu Wanda Mall is Wanda's seventh project in Shanghai. Unlike its past projects here, which have all been Wanda Plazas, the Wanda Mall represents an upgraded version in terms of its overall size, positioning and tenant mix

The mall occupies an 88,800 square meter site and will have a gross floor area of 450,000 square meters. The entire development will be indoor, including a world-class children's amusement park and a car technology park.

The project is set to become a new landmark of recreation and tourism in Shanghai and the surrounding Yangtze River Delta region upon its completion.
